Behaviour Improvement Programme

 

 

Within BIP, schools are committed to developing positive attitudes to learning in all pupils and supporting those pupils whose attendance or behaviour gives cause for concern.

 

Activities include:

  • School audits to identify strengths and priorities for development.
  • A 'Lead Behaviour Professional' (LBP) in each school.
  • A focus on behaviour for learning and EQ.
  • Developing and sharing good practice.
  • Identification and early intervention through pastoral systems, Learning Mentors and Family Liaison Officers (FLOs).
  • PIP+ and the Launch Pad for primary schools with further provision planned for secondary schools.
  • Extended schools to support pupils families and the community
  • A Behaviour Education Support Team: PIP+
  • Provision for excluded pupils
