Within BIP, schools are committed to developing positive attitudes to learning in all pupils and supporting those pupils whose attendance or behaviour gives cause for concern.
Activities include:
- School audits to identify strengths and priorities for development.
- A 'Lead Behaviour Professional' (LBP) in each school.
- A focus on behaviour for learning and EQ.
- Developing and sharing good practice.
- Identification and early intervention through pastoral systems, Learning Mentors and Family Liaison Officers (FLOs).
- PIP+ and the Launch Pad for primary schools with further provision planned for secondary schools.
- Extended schools to support pupils families and the community
- A Behaviour Education Support Team: PIP+
- Provision for excluded pupils
